West Nile virus
is a mosquito-borne disease that causes inflammation or swelling of the
brain and spinal cord. Since its discovery in New York in 1999, the
virus has spread rapidly across the country, infecting horses, birds or
humans in nearly every state in the continental United States. One in
three clinically-infected horses will die.
Aero Tech’s aerial
pesticide application provides protection from the West Nile virus by
eradicating its source: the mosquito. In applications, we follow the
most stringent guidelines for
environmental protection
when
working around watersheds and estuaries.
Aero Tech is a
long-time service provider for federal and state agencies, helping to
solve pest problems. Since 1988, Aero Tech
has served the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Harris County
Control Board with mosquito control for the Houston Shipping Channel in
Houston, Texas. Since 1998, Plainview, Texas, has also contracted for
Aero Tech’s mosquito control services.
In addition to mosquito
control, we apply insecticides and biological agents to retard
budworm and
Asian gypsy moth
infestation in forest lands and to mitigate other pest problems for
ranching, timber or agricultural operations.
