Aero
Tech owns and operates both helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft.
Our eleven fixed-wing aircraft include eight carded AT-802
Single-Engine Air Tractors (SEATs), a Piper Cheyenne II, a Beechcraft
Baron C55, and a highly modified 220-hp turbo-charged Super Cub.
Our four helicopters include an MD520N, a
Bell 407, a Bell 412EP, and a Schwiezer 300C. Our
satellite-guided, custom-equipped aircraft are maintained for tip-top
performance in demanding aerial spray campaigns, chartered
transportation services, or other special missions.
MD520N
Helicopter
Aero Tech’s MD520N helicopter is
certified for FAA part 133 and 135 operations. It is available for
wildlife surveys, firefighting, charter service, hauling freight, law
enforcement support, and other special missions. Additionally, our
helicopter service supports client needs for monitoring and photo
documentation of fire sites, bug infested areas, or regions that require mapping.
The MD520N is one of the world's safest and quietest
helicopters. Equipped with the NOTAR® anti-torque system, the
MD520N has far lower external noise, increased safety due to the removal
of the tail rotor, improved handling and performance, reduced vibration,
and easier maintainability. The turbine-engine MD520 is swift and
the ship is easy to maneuver over all kinds of terrain, making it ideal
for Aero Tech's transport and surveillance missions.
Bell 407 Helicopter
Aero Tech's Bell 407 is a customized
high-performance helicopter for use in charter services, surveying and
fire fighting. From a pilot's perspective, the aircraft is a dream
machine with superior power, maneuverability, and speed. From a
service perspective, the helicopter is a workhorse with excellent
payload and range capabilities as well as comfortable seating and
wide-open visibility.
Bell 412EP Helicopter
Our
Bell 412EP (Enhanced Performance) is another
high-performance helicopter for firefighting and other missions
including mobilization and demobilization of fire crews and oil platform
crews, charter services, freight hauling, emergency disaster relief,
search and rescue, engineering surveys, and long-line services. Aero Tech has customized the helicopter for superior handling and
control with factory-new PT6T-3DF engines and the first-ever civilian
installation of a Tail Strake and Fast Fin kit. The ship’s improvements provide enhanced capabilities for bigger
payloads at higher altitudes and reliable performance in hot weather.
The aircraft’s operation is under FAA part 133, 135 and 137
certifications.
Schweizer
300C
Aero Tech's Schweizer Model 300C helicopter is a light-utility,
piston-powered helicopter with excellent range for special missions and
hefty payload capacities for aerial spraying operations. The ship
has a spacious cabin with 360 degrees of visibility. With its
versatility and reliability, our Schweizer helicopter is ideal for
agricultural spraying, cargo transport, and surveillance.
802 Air Tractor

Our
aircraft of choice for fixed-wing aerial applications is the Air Tractor
turbine AT-802, which is recognized as the leader in maneuverability,
reliability, and safety. We own and operate eleven AT-802s equipped with
the -67 Pratt & Whitney 1426 HP power plant, the most powerful engine
certified for this aircraft. Our AT-802s are customized with a SATLOC®
Differentially Corrected Global Positioning System (DGPS) guidance and
navigation systems for pinpoint deliveries to precisely defined land
areas. The aircraft have been further enhanced with large-capacity
hoppers and fuel tanks for long-range flight capabilities.
Our AT-802s are tireless workhorses, ideal for the rapid response aerial
campaigns we conduct for clients. The aircraft can carry heavy payloads
of water, retardant, insecticide, fertilizer or other chemicals and be
loaded and up in the air in less than five minutes. We can fly the
AT-802s at high altitudes or close to the ground, efficiently covering
areas of rugged, mountain terrain and making precise drops even in
difficult conditions.
Piper Cheyenne II
Our twin-engine turbine Piper Cheyenne II is a comfortable and
efficient aircraft for charter services, surveys, surveillance and other
special missions. The pressurized, air-conditioned aircraft
features club-style seating for up to six passengers and a number of
amenities for productive in-flight work. Our Piper Cheyenne is
equipped with advanced navigation equipment and operates with excellent
fuel economy for transporting people or cargo on short or long trips.
Beechcraft
Baron C55
Aero
Tech’ Beechcraft Baron C55 is a lightweight, agile, twin-engine aircraft
offering reliable performance and safety.
We use the aircraft in conjunction with our Piper Cheyenne II to
mobilize crews and mechanics and transport parts.
The aircraft offers expanded capabilities for supporting multiple
projects in various locations.
Super Cub
The
showpiece in Aero Tech’s fleet is Ted Stallings’ sporty Super 18 Turbo-Charged Super Cub.
The highly modified 220-hp turbo-charged aircraft is a 4-inch, wide-bodied with a 220-hp turbocharged Lycoming engine, an
MT composite prop, a 6-inch extended gear, 35-inch bush wheels, Dakota
slotted leading-edge extended wings, an Atlee square tail, a Dynon glass
instrument panel, and many other impressive options. It is extremely quick and
responsive with sport-car-like power and handling, zipping through short
landings and take-off even at extremely high altitudes.
GPS Precision Guidance
System

The
SATLOC® DGPS guidance system onboard our aircraft ensures flight path
accuracy within one meter, even under adverse conditions. The system
provides real-time digital graphic display maps and GIS Shape files that
our pilots can download and use to view block boundaries and to mark
points for precise dispersion over treatment areas. Additionally, the
system’s guidance software allows us to control spray application rates,
track acreage sprayed and analyze log data. The system’s features help
us reduce fuel, flying time and spraying costs.
Support Equipment
We
are fully capitalized with equipment and facilities to support our
aerial operations. We own and operate an extensive fleet of DOT-approved
service vehicles and support equipment including hydroseeders, fire
support trucks, tankers, pumps, semi trucks and trailers, and field and
transport equipment.
